The Criminal Mastermind with a CAT!

Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the fictional, criminal character that appears in a series of James Bond films, written by author Ian Fleming. The crazy, genius, mastermind who has aspirations to take over the World and gain total domination and power over every Country.  First appearing in Thunderball he was the archenemy of James Bond, a Secret Service Agent working for the British Government.  Blofeld, infamous for his menacing pose, large facial scar and for sitting in his black, swivel Operator Chair he would cuddle and stroke his large, blue eyed, fluffy, white Persian cat!

The final James Bond film that this notorious villain appeared in was “No time to die” in 2020.  Played by a variety of actors throughout the years from; Donald Pleasence, Telly Savalas, Charles Grey, Max Von Sydow and Christopher Waltz. Blofeld was known to be affiliated with the terrorist and criminal organisation “SPECTRE” an acronym of Special, Executive, for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion!  Born in Germany on the 28th of May 1908 his parents were Ernst George Blofeld and Maria Stavro Michelopoulos.  Although never confirmed by writer Ian Fleming the fictional Blofeld character was based on the real life of a Greek arms dealer called Basil Zaharoff.  The surname Blofeld was believed to have been inspired by cricket commentator Henry Blofeld’s father who happened to go to school with Fleming.
