Things to consider when organising a wedding

Organising weddings can be a very stressful affair, especially if the wedding is being organised by the family themselves rather than a wedding-planner. There are many things to consider and take into account when one is taking on the big responsibility for themselves.

Different cultures organise weddings in different ways. In English culture, the bride and groom themselves organise the wedding and the bride herself does a lot of the decision making and takes on most of the responsibility or hires a wedding planner to do most of the work. However, in Asian cultures, for example Indian, the whole family come together and take on the responsibility of organising the entire wedding themselves, the bride usually does not participate in most of the stressful tasks.

First and foremost, one of the things to consider is that the family need to sit down and discuss a budget. This can help ease financial stress through the process and save for unexpected disappointments later on. It is also a good idea to budget before the organisation of the wedding even begins.

When a family organises the wedding themselves, there will be a lot of small bits and pieces to buy and move to the house or wedding venue itself, as well as stage decorations and seating arrangements. If a large number of vehicles need to be hired, cars and vans can be hired from vehicle fleet management companies.
